Safe Refinement
The Refine Token provides additional protection when refining equipment.
Using a Refine Token does not guarantee a successful refinement.
Instead, it protects the equipment from being destroyed if the refinement attempt fails.

How It Works
A Refine Token can be used through the normal Refinement NPC.
When using the token:
- Select the equipment you want to refine.
- Use 1 Refine Token
- The normal refinement success chance is applied.
- The refinement may succeed or fail.
- If the attempt fails, the equipment is protected from being destroyed.
What the Refine Token Does
The Refine Token provides:
Protection against item destruction
It does not provide:
Guaranteed refinement success
Normal success chance still applies
Using a Refine Token does not change the normal success or failure chance of the refinement attempt.
Its purpose is to protect the equipment if that attempt fails.
Token Consumption
Each protected refinement attempt requires:
The token is consumed whether the refinement:
- Succeeds
- Fails
Eligible Equipment
The Refine Token can be used with:
Any equipment that can normally be refined
Equipment that cannot normally be refined cannot make use of the token.
Safe does not mean guaranteed
A Refine Token protects the equipment from breaking.
It does not guarantee that the refine level will increase.

Safe Refinement is available on:
- Altum Bellum
- Modus Aequus
- Imus Gradus
The system behaves the same way across all three servers.
